Application Case for Magnetotelluric System used in Gypsum Mine


Transient electromagnetics, (also time-domain electromagnetics / TDEM), is a geophysical exploration technique in which electric and magnetic fields are induced by transient pulses of electric current and the subsequent decay response measured.


Magnetotelluric System


The test section of a gypsum mine subsidence area passes through the subsidence area in the east-west direction. The deep blue is the goaf between 20-140 points, and the deep blue between 140-320 points is the backfill of the goaf, 320-480. The normal formation is between the points, and the shallow cover is sandstone + mudstone.
