Cambodia National Geological Laboratory Completed
On October 16, 2019, the official handover ceremony of the Cambodian National Geological Laboratory, which was aided by the Chinese government for free, was successfully held in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. The main person in charge of the Chengdu Geological Survey of the China Geological Survey of the Ministry of Natural Resources attended the handover ceremony on behalf of the China Geological Survey of the Ministry of Natural Resources and delivered a speech for the laboratory.
The laboratory covers an area of 14,000 square meters and has an investment of 3 million US dollars. It is the first national geological laboratory in Cambodia. It was launched in 2017 by the Guangxi Bureau of Geology and Mineral Exploration and Development and the Mineral Resources Bureau of the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Cambodia. The completion of the laboratory marks a solid step in testing and analysis technology in Cambodia.
